Wilshire Dog Park

Wilshire has one of the most beautiful dog parks in all of Portland. With fresh water, friendly regulars, and a tree canopy, this large off-leash area is a great spot for puppy playtime, especially on hot, sunny days.
Play Features
Teeming with Douglas fir trees, this well-maintained dog park is fun for all personality types. The off-leash area is about the size of a football field, with plenty of open space to play a comfortable game of fetch. Wood chips cover the play area, and the tress provide not only interesting sniffs but also the perfect refuge for those sizzling summer days. A partial fence separates the doggy play area from the kids playground.
There’s fresh water from the spout located in center of the off-leash area, and a green trash can is on the east edge. You can also find bathrooms near the playground.
Park Vibes
Wilshire is a vibrant and active public space. The off-leash area sees a decent amount of doggy traffic, particularly on the weekends, and dog owners are friendly and respectful. Check out the bulletin post with announcements and donated poop bags. Have a seat on the picnic table and relax in the abundant shade. Or leash up and walk the beautiful path around the park. There’s no shortage of opportunities to keep your pup occupied.
Easy Access
Wilshire dog park sits at the east end of the park, and there’s street parking right next to it on NE 37th Ave. You can also park on NE 35th Pl. or NE Skidmore St. and walk over through the main park.
Mud Factor
Fortunately, the tree canopy and wood chips keep this off-leash area from getting too sloppy over the rainy months.
