Lynchwood Dog Park

With Lynchwood, the Southeast boasts one of the finest fully fenced off-leash areas in Portland. The wide open space is tailored for runners, with fresh running water and a beautiful wooded setting not far from Gresham.
Play Features
If your dog needs to zoom but isn’t the most trustworthy off-leash, Lynchwood dog park might be your best bet in Portland. About the length of a football field, the fenced off-leash area is spacious and perfect for a proper Chuckit! session. Stay hydrated with the fresh water spout inside the fenced area.
Not into chasing rubber balls? Take the loop around the enclosure for plenty of interesting sniffs.
Park Vibes
Being one of the few dog parks in The Numbers, Lynchwood gets its fair share of traffic. But even when things get lively, the off-leash area is big enough that it never feels overcrowded. Mornings are nice and active, and shade from the tall fir trees comes in the afternoon. Relax on the bench or one of the chairs and chat it up with other friendly dog owners.
Easy Access
You’ll find free street parking on 170th Ave. Walk through the enchanting fir trees to get to the dog park. You can sometimes snag a spot right in front of the dog park on SE Haig Dr. off SE 174th Ave., but it’s a little residential street so space is scant. That’s where the trash can is. Enter on either side through double gates.
Mud Factor
Because it’s a relatively flat field covered with grass and weeds, Lynchwood has certain areas that can get pretty muddy after prolonged rains. It’s pretty much always wet around the water spout, but that’s paw for the course.
