Fresh water
Well-maintained grass

Dogs in Northeast Portland have a delightfully green place to play in Cully. The fully fenced off-leash area includes nicely maintained grass, fresh running water, a parking lot, and bathrooms just a stone’s throw away.

Play Features

This grassy dog run is a great spot for playing a round of fetch. The flat surface and well-kept grass make for easy running, and the knolls and trees at each end mix it up just enough. A water pump lies to the left of the entrance and some thoughtful owners sometimes stock waste bags around the fence, and two trash cans sit right outside the double-gated entrance.

You’re also just minutes from another fenced off-leash area at Sacajawea dog park.

Park Vibes

Cully dog park overlooks an industrial area, the train tracks, and N. Columbia Blvd., so you can hear a lot of activity at times. Dog owners are friendly, but the off-leash area doesn’t get too much action.

After exploring the dog park, take a walk on the long path around soccer fields. You can follow the provided exercise routine to get a little husky. If nature calls, hit the Portland Loos on the other side of the parking lot.

Easy Access

To enter, go down NE 72nd Ave. and park in the lot. The dog park is on the left. Keep in mind that the parking lot can get full on the weekends, and because NE 72nd Ave. is a narrow street, there’s not much room to park otherwise.

Mud Factor

Though nice in the summer, the dense grass retains water and gets moderately muddy in the rainy months. And watch your step: some owners do not pick up after their dogs despite the available bags.
