Sacajawea Dog Park

Tucked away in the Cully neighborhood, Sacajawea is a quaint space with a large fenced dog park. The off-leash area has room to run, fresh water, and a view of landing planes. Just watch out for the mud in the rainy season.
Play Features
Sacajawea dog park is a flat, open space marked by patchy grass and weeds. The off-leash area takes up most of the park, so there’s ample room to use your favorite ball launcher. Fresh water from an easy-to-operate spout sits near the southern fence.
What’s more, you can walk the wood chip path around the fence or hang out under the several fir trees in the main park. You’re also minutes from Cully dog park.
Park Vibes
Though the main park is charming, the off-leash area isn’t much to write home about. That said, you can have a seat and watch planes descend in the distance while your dog plays and explores the large enclosure. Friendly neighborhood dog owners do a good job of keeping the grounds clean.
The dog park does see a decent amount of traffic, so it can be a pretty good place for your dog to network. There’s not much shade in the off-leash area, which means that things tend to be more lively in the mornings and evenings.
Easy Access
Finding this Northeast Portland dog park can be tricky if you’re coming from the north or west. You cannot access the park on NE Alberta St. from NE 72nd Ave, no matter what the map tells you. Instead, use NE Prescott St. and turn left on either NE 75th Ave. or NE 76th Ave. If you’re coming from the east, take NE Alberta St from NE 82nd Ave. Parking is limited.
Mud Factor
Bring some towels ’cause Sacajawea dog park gets muddy.
